Job role:
In your role as Pharmacy Technician, you will be assisting a Pharmacist serve our patients by filling prescriptions and dispensing general lifestyle advice.
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service by answering patient questions and concerns as they arise
- Measure amounts of medicine for prescriptions
- Package, label and dispense prescriptions as per federal, state and local regulations
- Enter and maintain prescription information in our proprietary software
- Sterilize and maintain equipment and surfaces
- Update job knowledge by attending conventions and following publications
Requirements:
- [X] years of experience working as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar position
- High school diploma is mandatory
- PTCB/NHA certification necessary
- Expertise in medication measurement and dosage
- Knowledge of basic terminology in pharmacology
- Knowledge of hospital safety procedures and patient rights
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail
